Our Founding Father Muhammad Janis Khan, a self-made man with a heart full of kindness and love initiated his professional journey just after completing his SSC from Government High School Baffa. He worked in different organizations, financial institutes and C&W Department in the city of Karachi. Alongside his job he completed his education from St. Xavier’s Commercial Institute & got his Bachelors Degree in the field of Commerce. He moved to Peshawar in 1971 and joined IDBP (Industrial Development Bank of Pakistan). He served the organization till his retirement, did many courses of banking from abroad and remained manager of Abbottabad Branch for almost 15 years and retired as Assistant Vice President. His love for the people of his own area was so strong that he always wanted to give them something good and constructive in return to acclaim his association.

He inspired his son Fayyaz Ahmed to start his journey in such a way that he can truly serve the people of his vicinity, knowing the importance of education for the less privileged area of Mansehra he laid the foundation of Jinnah Colleges in the year 1996. He acclaimed his identity and was proud of his roots and through Jinnah Colleges he left his speck of love for the people of district Mansehra. No doubt his life was full of compassion, kindness, honesty & hardwork. He gave away his life on 7th October 2000 in the same campus from where he initiated the journey of excellence among his beloved students during delivering the speech in the monthly college function. He left with a message of compassion and his last words for the students were that, they should shape their destinies with hardwork and devotion.
